What is a B.A. in Communication Science?
Are you interested in how humans connect and how to improve communication? Do you think about the role of technology in building or breaking connections between people? Studying a B.A. in Communication Science (NQF Level 7) gives you the skills and knowledge you need to work in any industry. This means that your degree can be pretty flexible, and you’ll learn about the science of communication and how it is applied in the workplace.You’ll also specialise in best practices around communication in various fields.
What careers are available
for this degree?
Traditional paths for communication include journalism, broadcasting, and telecommunications. With UNi4 Institute, you’ll consider how innovations have changed the way we communicate. Think about how Facebook has change not only who we can be “friends” with but also how businesses communicate with potential customers. Technology has made us evermore connected, so communication science is becoming more and more important. With this degree, you could enter new fields like digital marketing communication, systems integration, media and social media (think Buzzfeed), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the Cloud, and mobile advertising.

Language of Instruction
If you pay your deposit during Open Day or during a Consultation, we will waive the application fee.
National Senior Certificate
A National Senior Certificate (NSC) (Degree endorsement) with at least 50% in the language of teaching and learning, or
A Senior Certificate
A Senior Certificate (SC) with matriculation exemption or qualify for the exemption from the Matriculation Board with at least a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning.
